Europe's Islamic self
Europe's Islamic self
The truth, however, is that this pure, absolute and uniform identity which Europe - and later the west - has constructed for itself, along with its manufactured history, with its metamorphoses from the Greek, to the medieval Christian, to the modern, is little more than myth and illusion. The "west", as it conceives of itself, is a gigantic lie. Although the Greek Hellenistic and the Christian traditions were undoubtedly vital in the west's evolution, so too were other elements from which it has sought to distance itself and assert its difference.
The article goes on to say:
At the forefront of these expelled forefathers, these banished ancestors, is the Islamic. It is the missing link in Europe's self-narrative, occupying the imaginary vacuum it likes to refer to as "the dark ages". By all accounts, this period in Europe's history is worthy of its association with darkness and decadence, with its superstitions, waves of persecution and bouts of plague. But European history is not world history. When compared with Baghdad, wrote historian Z Oldenbourg: "Paris, Mainz, London and Milan, were not even like modern provincial cities compared to a capital. They were little better than African villages or townships." This idea does not stand up within the entire European context. When London was little more than a collection of huts built along the banks of a muddy river, a few hundreds of miles away, Cordoba, Granada and Seville were vibrant, flourishing metropolises which gave the continent its first universities, street lights, pavements, sewage systems, windmills and public parks.
The article ends with this rather sinister paragraph:
Many find these changes hard to swallow. To a large extent, this unease explains the rise of the far right and the deepening sense of identity crisis in countries such as France and in others in central and southern Europe. Time is needed before these countries come to terms with accelerating change, before Islam and Muslims are recognized as part of the fabric of European society and identity. No doubt it is easier to accept couscous and curry than it is to accept those who bring them in, along with their mosques, hijabs and beards, but it's only a matter of time.
...........................................................................................................................................................
So its all a lie is it, our history is made up, a construct, well lets take a look.
Islamic development since the Birth of Mohammed in 570AD is not impressive, the Islamic time line is here
In 1000ad the Reconquista started and by 1492 the Muslims had been kicked out of Spain, Islamic armies had invaded Spain in 710 AD, Spain too had its "dark ages" 700 years if Islamic rule. Islam did not benefit Spain it subjugated it and the Spanish people eventually reclaimed their country, it is then that the country of Spain began to develop and grow.
As for the statement: "When London was little more than a collection of huts built along the banks of a muddy river, a few hundreds of miles away, Cordoba, Granada and Seville were vibrant, flourishing metropolises which gave the continent its first universities, street lights, pavements, sewage systems, windmills and public parks.
Well:
The remains of huts built over 4,000 years ago have been found to the west of London, but it was first established as a town by the Romans at some time between their invasion in 43AD and the description of it by Tacitus seventeen years later, the same year it was destroyed by the avenging Boadicea and her Iceni warriors. It was soon rebuilt, and by the end of the century had a fort at Cripplegate to protect it. The prosperous town went into recession around 150AD, but remained sufficiently important that a defensive wall was built round it fifty years later, parts of which remain at the Barbican and Tower Hill
Records of London reappear from the time of Alfred the Great (849-899), and its importance was certainly enhanced by the building not far away of Westminster Abbey by Edward the Confessor in the eleventh century. After his victory in 1066AD, William I built the first tower (The White Tower) of what has become the Tower of London. By 1085AD London (still separate from Westminster) had become the largest town in Europe north of the Alps, with a population of over 10,000. Two years later it was destroyed by fire,
London was established as a major town in 430 AD, long before Mohammed was born, yes in the middle ages the Black Death did kill many people in England.
To suggest that London in the middle ages was a collection of mud huts is laughable and shows how little the author of this article knows of the history of England or London.
London time line here
As per usual claims of Islamic ingenuity are in the article, Islam has made claim to many of the developments that have benefited mankind , quite falsely, the Windmill for example was first thought of by Euclid.
Islam has not made any significant contribution to the well being of mankind with the exception of the crankshaft, what Islam has done is to take the inventions of countries they have invaded and call them Islamic, who's heritage is false, the Islamic heritage is false.
It is stated in the article:
"the dark ages". By all accounts, this period in Europe's history is worthy of its association with darkness and decadence, with its superstitions, waves of persecution and bouts of plague."
Waves of persecution and superstitions! no doubt they did occur but when compared to the persecution that Islam visits on its conquests they are insignificant and it should be pointed out that Islam continues to this day to visit persecution on others, Darfur is a classic example of Islamic persecution.
The article ends with the words "it is only a matter of time" once again the mindset of the Muslim is exposed, the dominance of Islam and subjugation of others is their goal.
I hope those people who read this article in The Guardian have the sense to see through the verbiage and realize that what this woman is actually saying is "we are going to take your country"
"anonymous" has posted this link, thank you anonymous:But in fact, it is Ramadan who is operating under an illusion and is self-deceived about Islam's supposed prominent role in shaping the rationalist tradition of Christendom. As an article ("The Pope and the Prophet") by Robert Reilly in the current issue of Crisis Magazine ably notes, Western Christianity's rational tradition developed in the Medieval era precisely as a result of the outright rejection of the irrationalism inherent in Islamic philosophy, not the embracing of it.

Islam is a cultural and philosophical dead-end. It is irrational to its very core and has nothing to contribute to Judeo-Christian civilisation. See

From the Times
Home-grown British terrorists now regard themselves as part of “global insurgency” that poses a new threat to international security, according to an official US report published yesterday.
The finding, in the State Department’s annual country report on terrorism, reflects growing fears on both sides of the Atlantic about radicalised young British Muslims.
British intelligence chiefs have confirmed to The Times that they are worried by the prospect of the next attack in America being committed by a British citizen arriving without hindrance in the US on the visa waiver programme. They are liaising closely with the FBI to identify possible suspects.

==================================
I think it is high time that the visa waiver programme is stopped for all British citizens. Australia, NZ and Canada should do the same. This maybe just sufficient to wake up Britain - I hope.

Sorry about that - they've taken it off and replaced it with this week's program about Peckham. Still had it listed as 'I'm a Muslim get me out of here' though.
Anyway, my apologies.

This talk of leaving the UK is just talk. These poeople are leaving the UK because thay have a high paying job in the Emirates, and have decided to make political capital out of it at the same time.
Now below is a post from a listener of the James Whale show.
During a radio phone in conversation I heard on UK Talksport radio a Muslim was laughing his head off at the suggestion that he should head back to pakistan if he was so unhappy here. His response, once he'd calmed down was to tell the presenter James Whale, that he'd no intention of going home nor had any of his friends. They were here to eventually take over the UK.
That's the plan, secret's out folks.

That fits with what I've known fpr two decades. Muslims will cling to us like the parasites that they are. I have never heard of a parasite leaving its host voluntarily.

Yes I did know that. When this topic was last posted here I said that They may be going out there, but I doubt if they're giving up their passports and residence rights. It still cheers us up to hear them complaining about the 'Anti-Muslim' atmosphere here though. Not anti-Muslim enough for my taste ...

Have a read of the dozens of comments following the al-Guardian article: they give the piece a thorough fisking and about all but two rubbish the article and its hijabed author. Seems like even Guardian readers are waking up, and the pig is hurtling down the runway at take-off speed!
