IS THIS STUPIDITY OR IGNORANCE

Cardinal calls on Muslims to fight for freedom

Britain's most senior Roman Catholic leader has called on Muslims to join forces with the Church to fight for "genuine religious freedom".

Cardinal Cormac Murphy O'Connor: The cardinal has called on Muslims to fight for religious freedom
The Cardinal said Muslims often felt misrepresented or misunderstood

Cardinal Cormac Murphy-O'Connor, the head of the Church in England and Wales, said that since the September 11 terrorist attacks on America, public opinion had become suspicious of religion in general and of Islam in particular.

It was now necessary, he said, for the followers of the two faiths to unite to uphold religious freedom as a "natural right of every human being to be respected by every government".

...........................................................................................................

I am unsure if this man is speaking from pure ignorance or plain stupidity.

Islam in particular he says, well of course it is, Catholics, or any other branch of the Christian faith did not fly planes into the twin towers, nor did they massacre the children in Beslan or blow up 52 British people on 7/7.

There is no restrictions on religious freedoms in the UK but there should be, there should be a restriction on any religions activity if that religion threatens the State and the population of the State.

The Cardinal went on to say that "Muslims often felt misrepresented or misunderstood", dear Cardinal this is the bleating heart of Islam, this is Islam playing the victim role, can't you see that.

The cardinal also said "Muslims and Christians together had to fight against those who wished to "make sure religion had no public voice".

What the Cardinal needs to recognize is that Islam sees all "other Religions" as less than Islam or dhimmi.

Liaisons of this nature are foolhardy  and absolutely dangerous in reality, Islam does not, repeat, NOT form alliances unless Islam is the sole benefactor, those who collaborate are inevitably devoured by this predatory cult.

The Cardinal should look to the way Christians are treated in Islamic countries for insight into how Christians would be treated in the UK under sharia law, the lessons are stark and very clear, take a look Cardinal.

Remember this:Muslims express their anger over Pope Benedict XVI's speech

Muslims calling for the death of the Pope, maybe the Cardinal should reflect on this

    Gandalf,

Sometime in the near future you need to tell your MP, mayor, neighbors, and associates these basic truths.
Also, dont forget to tell Nick Griffin of these obvious facts.
He needs to use this in his public appearances and speeches.

Islam is NOT a religion, but a political, death cult posing as a legitimate religion.
Islam since its unholy inventing centuries ago is based solely on sedition and undermining ALL non-islamic nations today.
I am not an Einstein, but I do believe SEDITION is a capital crime and worth of life imprisonment and/or death in most nations today.
The koran needs to be outlawed as it is a guidebook on how to kill, when to attack, how to enslave, who to rape, why must muslims always kill ALL non-believers and Jews.
Murder is still against the law I believe?
Also, the islamic population needs to be entirely repatriated back to their choice of any islamic nation.....whether they want it or not.
A division or two, of the British Army will make sure it will happen in a timely manner.
I believe there must be a national or a international effort to bring islam and its koran to a tribunal of sorts or the highest of courts to be put on trial for crimes against all of humanity.
The koran is thankfully its own worst enemy and could easily be shown in trial to the world the NECESSITY that islam and its cult followers be outlawed and sent home from all free nations.
Could 134 verses of commandments in the koran to rape, murder, pillage, enslave, and undermine all free governments be wrong?
How much more evidence to the leftists need that islime is a cancer and leprosy rolled into 1 disease?

I don't see why anyone is surprised by the lack of intelligence demonstrated by these remarks. As a "believer" of any description, this man's grasp of reality is going to be tenuous at best.

I can understand a self serving politician comming out with crap like this, but from a man who has spent almost all his life studying religion, his ignorance is quite staggering. This man is both stupid, and ignorant.

Why is the official body representing Britain’s Churches funding the activities of a radical mosque? See http://blogs.telegraph.co.uk/ukcorrespondents/holysmoke/june2007/mosquefundingmadness.htm

Is this more Christian self-loathing and desire for dhimmitude? Or post-colonial guilt? Or perhaps they're getting ahead with early payments of the inevitable Jizya.

To the Muslim mind, APPEASEMENT = WEAKNESS = INVITATION FOR AGGRESSION

I sense this is one of the very early signs of our Christian religious leaders looking to the future, seeing the societal changes just around the corner and attempting in some small way to ingratiate themselves with the religion they quietly acknowledge will be a huge force demographically within a couple of decades.

Cardinal Murphy-O'Connor is very mistaken of course, his reaching out to Muslims is the equivalent of the chickens inviting the foxes over to discuss the intolerant nature of farmers.
