A catalogue of errors helped the July 21 bombers
If any further evidence were needed of the incompetence of the old Home Office before it was broken up, the trial of the four men convicted of attempting to bomb London’s bus and Tube network two weeks after the 7/7 atrocities afforded ample proof. The series of blunders, missed leads and crass misjudgments that allowed the terrorists to travel freely and train for their deadly mission is astonishing. Time and again Home Office officials, immigration officers and police failed to detain men suspected of terrorist links whose intent should have been obvious. It was only luck and the would-be bombers’ technical incompetence that prevented further carnage in London.
Several of the decisions taken at the time were strange indeed. Muktar Said Ibrahim, the leader of the bombers, was allowed to leave Britain while facing charges over extremist behaviour. He flew to Pakistan, where it was known that extremists were being trained in terrorist techniques, despite having been stopped at Heathrow carrying £3,000 in cash, a new video camera, a sleeping bag and cold-weather clothing. Making the improbable claim that he was going to a wedding when he could not name the bride or say how the groom met her, he was nevertheless allowed to fly out. And no attempt was made to detain him when he returned, many months after the date that he gave police earlier.
Ibrahim had already been arrested for a public order offence and had been seen in the entourage of Abu Hamza, the radical preacher at Finsbury Park mosque. The Metropolitan Police said that he was not prevented from flying to Islamabad because his bail conditions did not include travel restrictions. If so, there was a clear disconnection between the Government’s stated intention to clamp down on terrorist suspects, official policy since 9/11, and the workings of the courts and the police. Even more shamefully, he had been observed by security officials attending a training camp in the Lake District along with more than 20 others. Yet the surveillance operation was so cack-handed that four of the men were able to spend the next year preparing their attacks.
Equally astonishing is the decision by the Home Office to grant full British citizenship to Ibrahim in 2004 even though he had convictions for indecent assault on a 15-year-old girl and had served a two-year jail sentence for a series of street robberies. Yet again, British officials seemed incapable of standing up to the demands of those using the conventions on refugees and human rights to make it all but impossible to send home violent or criminal asylum-seekers.

We are forever being told how good and robust our immigration control are so why is it that every ordinary person on the street knows that it is an absolute farce yet our Governments still sticks to this most ludicrous and outrageous deception.
We all know that ANYONE can get into the UK from the EU even if they are illegal in the EU all the person has to say is "which way to the UK" and all EU officials will point them in the right direction, then they arrive in the UK illegally and are basically set for life.

A visa application centre (VAC) has opened in Germany as part of a scheme to improve immigration assistance to UK applicants
The WorldBridge service from Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) will eventually establish VACs in 15 countries throughout Europe, the Americas, North Africa and the Middle East. These will provide information services through the Internet, e-mail and multilingual call centres to an additional 87 countries.Neither CSC nor VFS staff carry out security checks on behalf of UK visas, said the spokesperson. But all staff who collect biodata are subject to internal checks and UK Visas vetting.
OK now read the last paragraph again, The staff of these centres are checked out but the applicants are NOT, repeat NOT subject to any kind of security scrutiny, how mad can you get, it beggars belief so now in addition to the "le pleur "cock up" du Monde made by our immigration and security services we have another quango set up by the Government to increase the flood of immigrants into the UK and not one of them is checked, you could not make this up
This guy had a criminal record, had a sex conviction on his record and was still given British citizenship, WTF!!

We can't discriminate on such a basis. We have tolerance for all - paedophiles, child molesters, all are welcome to the island nation whose name used to be Britain, but has been renamed by Hassan Butt, the reformed Jihadi, as the "Land of Co-existence".

Over 1 million British passports handed out like confetti during Nu Labour's stewardship. Its probably cheaper than creating non jobs in order to secure votes, and has the bonus of encouraging white flight.
With regard to security, assume all muzzies are terrorists until proven otherwise. If they want to emulate their prophet they are terrorists, simple as that. Can't cope with the numbers? Simple, throw them out. I'll put up with losing the "huge contribution"

The "powers that be" are intent upon diluting the indigenous British population by importing millions of minorites & others so that any semblance of British cohesion is lost. Thus the EU bureaucratic thugs, under the guise of pro globalisation big business, can swoop down and take full control of the UK with ease. To her and her "colleagues", the treaty is a done deal and, already, they are planning to interfere in the ratification process.
And this is before they have the treaty in the bag. Once they've got it, they will be unstoppable in their arrogance. For the first time in my career as a Eurosceptic, I am really worried. This thing has to be stopped, no matter what the cost.
If this treaty, which is nothing but the old constitution in disguise, is adopted, it will be the end of Britain. It will become a province in the EU empire. Gordo Brown, is an ardent Europhile, and is saying that this treat is not a constitution, and thus does not require a referendum that was in the Labour manifesto. Bunkum.
This whole thing is beginning to look like another Greek horse.

EUReferendum is one of the blogs I read, the EU has almost destroyed our democracy in that the House of Parliment is little more than a rubber stamping chamber for laws made by unelected appointees such as the Commission and the Council of Europe which even has representatives from Turkey in it as it is a selected body of MPs across Europe and aspiring European countries. The Council of Europe is the body that put forward the law to make Islamophobia a crime, that is Europe, the enemy of democracy and freedom and common sense. An Empire just like the USSR, that is the EU.

Actually there is no need for violence at all. All it requires is for .1% of the population, barely 60,000 people to say NO. Then offer themselves up for arrest. No violence, just a peaceful NO and non-coperation and acquisecence, nay volunteer for arrest.
The police will not be able to cope. If they arrest even 10,000, it will raise such hell, that another 20,000 will take their place. Such massive civil disobedience will lead to public humiliation of the government, that it will fall, and with it, all the idiotic policies of the last 20 years will be washed away.

DP111, the issue is that most of us are law abiding respectful people, driven nearly insane by watching thugs, killers and robbers walk all over us while our governments spend more of its time and resources policing those that aceept to be policed and trying to hide those that do not.
To make the shift from being lawful to unlawful is a huge step, but then again perhaps not, if the EU keeps redefining laws so that every thought is a crime.
I had a conversation with my father in his seventies and he said what can we do and I suggested something like what you said, but made up of retired people bused into London every day month after month for a demonstration around Parliment with placards saying No to Islam, and why are we giving our country to these Nazis! Also the cartoons of Mo, the police would have to arrest them, and as they have no jobs the Council of Europes penalties on stopping people from working will not impact them.
I have heard so many old folk bemoaning what is happaning to the UK, but they are the only ones who can do this and think of teh negative press as yet more pensioners are carted off to prison, lovely.

Civil non-coperation, different from civil disobedience, in a sit down protest. Wheel chair occupiers are already sitting down. Tbe message is the most important.
1. No to Islam in the UK -as it is alien to the culture and traditions of the West.
2. No to the UU - Parliament and our laws are supreme.
It is illegal and against our tradition, to transfer power to any authority that is above parliament, and outside the UK. Guy Fawkes's objective is not be realised.
There is to be no violence, just non-cooperation. Offer to be arrested. The very offer to be arrested, stymies the threat of arrest. There is no way the police can cope, and it makes the state look foolish and authoritarian.

NOW is the time to organize locally or nationally some type of public protest on the streets to publicize the murder of this Brutish citizen!!
Can some hundreds at least from the BNP group be organized and march like mad hell to DEMAND JUSTICE while informing another Brit was murdered while defending himself against 4 cowards!?!?
This is a just reason to get ugly on the streets and raise hell demanding an investigation and prosecution from the courts.
Now I know if someone gives a dirty look at a local raghead the govt and local media will push for justice.
In this case someone is dead and gone.
There must be a powerful reaction and protest made very soon.

Secret report brands Muslim police corrupt
A secret high-level Metropolitan police report has concluded that Muslim officers are more likely to become corrupt than white officers because of their cultural and family backgrounds.
The document, which has been seen by the Guardian, has caused outrage among ethnic minorities within the force, who have labelled it racist and proof that there is a gulf in understanding between the police force and the wider Muslim community. The document was written as an attempt to investigate why complaints of misconduct and corruption against Asian officers are 10 times higher than against their white colleagues.
The main conclusions of the study, commissioned by the Directorate of Professional Standards and written by an Asian detective chief inspector, stated: "Asian officers and in particular Pakistani Muslim officers are under greater pressure from the family, the extended family ... and their community against that of their white colleagues to engage in activity that might lead to misconduct or criminality."

najistani, I had heard about that report some time ago, but it was good to remind us of it, because there are two things that spring to mind, the actions of that police officer when the BNP councillor showed the evidence and of course the missing Muslim word in regards to the Pakistanis.
