THERE IS MUCH TO DO- 60% STILL THINK ISLAM IS PEACEFUL
UK Car Bombs-Islam-Survey
The majority of Britons still view Islam positively as a religion of peace despite the adverse publicity following recent failed car bombing in London and at Glasgow airport, according to a new survey published Thursday. But the poll, conducted by the public theology think-tank, Theos, also found that the attempted attacks had given religion in general and Islam in particular a bad name.
Overall, the personal view of 60 per cent of respondents was fundamentally a religion of peace. In Scotland, the figure was 69 per cent and among AB social classes 67 per cent.
This despite the fact that:
A former imam, or mosque leader, has warned that extremists are aiming to establish Muslim Sharia law in the UK - and that Britain has become the world "number one target" for Islamic strategists.
Ex-imam Sam Solomon, however, has raised concerns that the militants' aim is to establish Sharia law in the UK, applying first to Muslim communities, then extending to the entire population.
"It would be a huge mistake to say that Islam is just another religion like Judaism or Christianity," he writes.
"Islam is a whole system: a social, political, religious, economical, educational, legislative, judicial and military system... with regulations that govern every aspect of the lives of its adherents."
And
............................................................................................................................................................
Clearly we still have a lot of work to do, 60% is a large number, but why do these people believe that Islam is a religion of peace, we are clearly not getting our message across to the wider public.
There are many reasons for this, the prime reasons being the Media and the Government, other reasons are the discriminatory laws that are aimed at anybody who dares to criticize the "religion of Peace, these laws, as we all know, are enforced by a multitude of Quango's set up by the Government.
It could be argued that many of this 60% said what they said out of fear of being labeled Islamophobic or racist, after all who knows what happens to the information contained in these surveys after they are completed, if, IF this is the case then this survey would also show the climate of fear that prevails in our society and demonstrate the fact that fear has subjugated freedom of speech, thought and action
We need a strategy, we are not organized and we need to target effectively people who can raise the profile of what is happening to the UK as a country.
What weapons do we have, not many, sadly the best weapon we have is another atrocity and many innocent people being killed by Muslims
I am going away now to think on this problem a little more, back later

Last year, some 65% of the people saw Islam as a a threat to democratic Britain. Since then, and several bomb plots later, the perception has been reversed. Unbelievable. I dont think this poll is right.
What was the question, and how was it aske? Was it hijab wearing women who conducted the survey? How many were asked?
The Islamic republic news agency is touting this. I have no faith in it at all.

The majority of people I speak to hold the view that this country would be far bettet off if all the muslims left/were thrown out.
However if a lie is repeated often enough, many people will believe it, no matter how improbable.

"Foiled terror plots" do no good to the country in that very few people hear and take note of them and of those few most think it a conspiricy by God knows who and for what reason.
Seeing is believing and the only way that people will realise the threat is to let some plots happen.
Sorry to repeat myself, having said it before on here, but, although brutal, I believe it the only way to get the message across.

probably a bbc london poll. the religion of body parts doesn't seem to be doing to well around my part of the world, as people are not very impressed with it. maybe i'm biased, but even my left wing friends are beginning to get pissed off with islam. nobody's called me attila or a racist nazi for a while (i deny either, as i'm quite happy to live around almost anyone other than moslems as in general they're not trying to break me into little pieces).
it's interesting how the numbers making comments on this and other sites appears to be rapidly increasing.

Yes I agree we need a strategy. We are in some kind of stupor about the difficulties facing us. Most of us that is. I often think about what it must have been for those who could see the storm clouds gathering in the mid 30's.
We have a rather more different threat now than then and I would say that the threat now is much more critical because of the fact of the immigration policy, the human rights lobby and the European Empire.
Add to that the real threat of the Muslim with their avowed determination to silence any critic of the prophet and for us to submit to shiera law, we are on a very sticky wicket.
We dont seem to have any organised opposition to these threats, we write loads of stuff about the threats, thousands read it and still hardly any reaction from the masses.
Our best chance seems to be to wish a great catastrophy on us which is a disgraceful truth.
I would even say that the very people who will find it the hardest are those who are the apathic ones, it is them who will be the most angry and will be at the front calling for action.
At the moment we are the callers of doom. Thankless task. Yes we do need a strategy however i fear what we will get is a reaction. Time is not on side anymore.

I would question the poll like DP111, sounds like one of those EU polls which are used to give the politicans a warm feeling about the EU just before any major meeting where 5,000 carefully selected people (most probably working for the EU) are asked of their impressions of the EU.
Looking at Theos shows me that it is a faith based group which talks about rapid de-secularisation, its hard to get an idea of the backers but it looks like a Christian linked setup, perhaps out of some multi-faith group.
One of the issues is the BBC, I no longer go near the BBC on TV or their website. But its full of human interest Muslim propaganda, while attacking anyone who says the truth. As the majority of Brits watch it and are impregnated with their so called balanced reporting lie, it rubs off on them.
One interesting own goal by the BBC was their attack on the Queen where they made it look as if she had stormed out in a petulant strop, but it turns out to have been made to look that way by the BBC.
Perhaps the slogan should be, Can you trust an organisation like the BBC to report news properly when they stitch up the Queen in such a dishonest way?
As for strategy and approach, it takes money and real effort to try to warn people, especially difficult now that the EU is working on Islamophobia laws which beggers belief.
Like Defender I find myself in the awful situation where the only thing that can save us is a really successful terrorist strike.

There is an immense amount of information on Islam on the internet, but none of it is systematically ordered. An attempt to put things together was made at http://bfbwwiii.blogspot.com/2006/10/silence-of-imams.html but this was not systematically indexed and is far from concise.
One possibilty for educating our fellow kaffirs would be to set up an online one-stop-shop for information on Islam - an ISLAMIC INDEX consisting of an alphabetically arranged single webpage of topics, cross referenced as synonyms where necessary. Each topic could be linked to a concise second level page which gives a brief introduction to the topic and links to offsite detailed information.
The site could be mirrored by counter-jihadist bloggers to guard against censorship or denial of service, and be kept up to date as a communal enterprise. Anyone coming to the top-level home page in search of a particular topic would no doubt also find much else to interest them which they never imagined existed.
For example - a skeleton layout of topics:
A
Aisha
- Mohammed's child sex slave
Andalusia
- Moslem Spain - fact and fiction
Appeasement
- why it won't work with Muslims
Apostasy
- death penalty for leaving Islam
Ayatollah Khomeini
- sex with children
- sex with animals

I just sent the following email to Theos:
Sirs
Would you please be so kind as to mail me the following details concerning your latest report about the public perception of Islam:
1. Your sampling method. Please include details of the 'population' from which you drew your sample. For example, and example only, did you draw your sample from only regular churchgoers? Or was it from the general population drawn at random? Telephone questioning. Was it stratified according to representation in the general population - in which case, how many people questioned from each stratum. I'm sure you must understand what I mean. What was the exact size of the sample.
2. Your raw data
3. your statistical method
4. Your complete list of questions
5. General non-personally-identifiable details of the people who literally asked the questions.
Thank you.
Take care
******
Let's see what their response is - because I just can't believe the story they put out. I want to check it out myself.
