A VULNERABLE 12-year-old schoolgirl — all alone and lost in Oldham — was brutally gang-raped up to 15 times by four men after being snatched as she asked for directions home.
The girl was lured to Shakil Chowdhury’s car, driven to his house in Attock Close, Chadderton, and plied with alcohol.
She was then taken upstairs and raped by Chowdhury (39) up to 11 times.
Immediately after one of the rapes, another man sexually assaulted the terrified girl before two others were invited to force her into sex.
The sobbing youngster went to police after Chowdhury asked for her phone number before taking her home.

Fury over rape sentence
Pat Hurst
4/ 9/2007
A TERRIFIED 12-year-old girl was plied with drink and passed between four men who took turns to rape her, police have said.
Shakil Chowdhury, 39, raped her repeatedly - along with the three other attackers - after the youngster was picked up in the street while on her way home. He was jailed for six years at Manchester crown court after pleading guilty to six counts of rape.
The three other men have not been traced.
Last night Norman Brennan, director of the Victims of Support Trust, said: "This sentence is almost as disgusting as the crime itself. Gang rape is the most despicable and appalling crime.
"Judges surely have a duty of care to punish people guilty of such crimes, and send out a serious message to others who might contemplate such action. In my opinion this has done neither."
Chowdhury met the the girl after she stopped to ask for directions home as she walked along Manchester Road in Oldham on the evening of October 27 last year.
Trust
Chowdhury persuaded her to get into his car and she agreed to go to his house because she thought she could trust him, the court heard.
But once there he gave her alcohol before taking her upstairs to his bedroom.
There he ordered the frightened youngster to lie on the bed and raped her. Chowdhury then left the room - and a second man came in and also raped the youngster.
He also invited two other men to rape her, bringing the total number of men who had abused her that evening to four.
Throughout the evening Chowdhury raped the victim a total of 11 times, using different beds at the house and forcing her to clean herself between attacks. Chowdhury, from Attock Close in Chadderton, Oldham, then took the girl home, asking if he could take her phone number before he left.
The girl reported the rape to the police and pointed out Chowdhury's address to officers. His house was raided and he was arrested.
Det Chief Insp Mary Doyle said: "This child was subjected to a terrifying and prolonged attack from Chowdhury and his associates.
"One of the first things she told him was her name and age, so there is no doubt that he was aware how young she was. Chowdhury's actions that evening would have been unacceptable on a woman of any age, but to carry out this sort of attack on a 12-year-old child is simply abhorrent.
"His victim has shown a great deal of bravery throughout this case, informing the police and pursuing this case to prosecution."

MAN IS FOUND GUILTY OF SEXUAL ASSAULTS
08:50 - 31 August 2007
A Pakistani businessman yesterday escaped prison and deportation after being found guilty of a string of sex offences.
Naeem Waqas Rehmat was sentenced to three years' probation after being found guilty of sexually assaulting two women and a 14-year-old girl.
The 24-year-old restaurant manager appeared at Forfar Sheriff Court faced with possible deportation under the Immigration Act.
Rehmat, of 137 Dundee Road, Forfar, assaulted the women and the teenager at various addresses in Forfar in separate incidents over two years.
He assaulted one woman on various occasions between February 8 and May 8, 2005. And on a separate occasion he assaulted a second woman on one occasion between October 1 and October 31, 2005.
He was also found guilty of using lewd, indecent and libidinous practices towards a 14-year-old girl, on March 28.
Advocate Tim Niven-Smith said Rehmat entered the UK in February 2005.
"He is the holder of a work permit obtained lawfully. He is currently employed by his brother and sister-in-law and his wife has subsequently arrived in the UK.
"It is the express intention of Mr Rehmat and his wife to forge a new era and life in the UK.
"That will be subject to a new application for a work permit."
Mr Niven-Smith said the offences were out of character and isolated.
He added that Rehmat's wife and elderly father were innocents who would be affected by either a custodial sentence or deportation.
"The court should have no wish to break up families and impose hardship on innocent people," he said.
Sheriff Kevin Veal said that a non-custodial disposal ought not to recommend deportation.
"A robust social enquiry report followed by a robust probation order has a lot to recommend it."
He added that the offence would come before the adjudicator in January 2008 when Rehmat applied to extend his work permit.
Rehmat was also added to the sex offenders register for five years
