On LGF Charles posted a comment that referred to some of the particpants as far right or even Nazis, the VB party being one but having checked them out after the SIOE demo I cannot say that they can simply be called a Nazi party by reasonable people and Charles has seriously disappointed me.
I do not know the Swedish guy at all but if David Horowitz can start off as being far left and now become what he is now then people should not be classified automatically as Nazi's, its what they think now what really counts.
With Charles posting that it gave ammunition to the real fascists and does not help at all in the fight against Islamofascism in Europe. Our enemies can now pick on that comment and use it.
Pamela of Atlas Shrugs reacted to Charles comments because CAIR has used it to attack Robert Spencer.

Charles can you think about what you say about people in such a conference, if I say Islam is bad I am called a Nazi and a racist pig, so what, all you did was peddle back you view of these people as being Nazis when you have not spoken to them or even know them. Get on the phone send an email and find out more about them before making such comments, cotact VB and ask them. I respect LGF a lot but this was a mistake.
As for Pamela, she gets rather heated, but she should back down, us Europeans are especially disappointed with Charles as he has just given a huge helping hand to those that accuse us of being fascists and racists, though I could have done without her comment that all Europeans were Nazi collaborators, but as she is Jewish I will forgive her that, I cried watching a documentary about the Holocaust and I understand her anger.
Many of the commentators on LGF seem to be in orgasmic glee at the fall of Europe to Islam, that we deserve it, that we are all surrender monkeys and fascists and oh well what the hell, I have supported the USA all my life, I always think about the Paratroopers of the 101st crossing the Rhine at Njimigen suffering horrible causalties to save British troops, that is America.
So to those people who think that I deserve what coming to me because many of my fellow Europeans are stupid surrender monkeys, thanks for the thoughts, your not the Americans that I look up to.
To Charles, your blog is great and you fight the fight, but you did a lot of damage to our cause, for a blog hat is called a fascist blog to call people at a conference about the takeover of Europe by Islam fascists is a really unfortuanate blow, please support us Charles.
Pamela, please calm down, apologise to Charles and tell him why he is wrong, and also note that not all Europeans were colloborating with the Nazi;s, my wifes familly hid Jews in their hotel in France at great risk to themselves, thank you Pamela...

At this moment in time, it is best for all- Charles Johnson, Pamela, Spencer, Conservative Swede etc, to stop justifying themselves, and hold their peace. The more one justifies oneself, the more one impugns the other, questioning the motives of others, and that calls for a response from the other. Such justifications do not lead anywhere but dissension among us, while comforting those who wish to see the real message discredited.
Mistakes are made all the time, but there is no point whatsoever in making a mountain of them. Ignore all this and carry on, while trusting and supporting each other. If necessary, apologise privately via an email, even though you may sincerely believe you were right. It is important.

I agree with you chaps, and I notice that Pamela apologised, perhaps Charles needs to realize that what he said was unwise and admit that, because in Europe even if you take your coffeee white your defined as a Nazi. Charles should realize that.

I gave up with LGF a long time ago when I began to realise the extremely low level intelligence of some of the commentors, particularly Galloping Granny (who for some strange reason that is beyond me seems to think she has some authority as a historian) and others of her ilk, and the expressions of doom, gloom, and calling us all surrender monkeys whenever anything was written with regard Islam, Europe and the UK. What I found particularly unpleasant were the crass insults (and the way they joyously waded in them) constantly thrown against the UK, the accusations that we had known about the concentration camps but covered it up (it was in fact the US Govt that tried to cover it up as examination of Churchills records confirms), the accusations that we had actively prevented their destruction etc, and many many other similarly totally derogatory and damaging lies against us for no other reason than that we are British.
So, as far as I'm concerned, LGF can go hang anyway.

I am begining to think the same about LGF, really annoying, parties change as they are influenced by the people who join them, the same is true of the BNP, its moved on from the party of skinheads and is attracting people like ballet dancers because they are worried about immigration, the party changes with them.
So Charles digs up a few pictures of White power flags at a VB rally last month and a girl dressed as a storm-trooper in 1996 to prove his point.
OK so there are some racists in the party, there are racists all over the damn place, so what, does not prove anything.

I don't blame Charles Johnson for that unpleasantness so much as the LGF posters who hijacked the thread - Dave of Sweden, Peter Verkooijen and persistent Europhobe ploome hineni - who turned it from a thread welcoming the conference to one attacking people who attended for alleged (and imaginary) racism.

If memory serves me right, Bigel was banned not because he persistently advocated the nuking of all Europe, but for some kind of mischief making between a couple of LGF commentators.
Anyway that is all past. LGF is doing the job the way Charles Johnson sees fit, and so are Daniel Pipes, Robert Spencer, Melannie Phillips, Pamela, Gandalf, Laurence Auster, and hundreds of other Blogs - each in their own way. It is pointless of each to expect that they will agree on a single way. In fact the multi-facetted way is by far the better.
The difference between the SIOE, Counter-Jihad, and the Blogs, is that Blogs educate, while SIOE and Counter-Jihad are taking physical action. They complement each other. The BLOG group should do everything possible to support SIOE and Counter-Jihad, and if they cannot, then stay silent and address their concerns in a private manner.

Thanks for jogging my memory, DP111! You're quite right, Bigel was banned from LGF for making a false claim about another poster. His incessant demands for the whole of Europe to be nuked because all Europeans are Nazis was apparently not sufficient cause.
It has been suggested ploome hineni is Bigel posting under another name. The relentless Europhobe invective is certainly very similar, and I think it has helped create an anti-Europe lynch mob mentality among LGF's less sophisticated posters, and one consequence of that has been the debacle over the CVF conference. Notice that ploome hineni was able to make his usual 'Nazis all over Europe' claims without censure while a British poster in the same thread was unceremoniously banned as a holocaust denier because CJ mis-understood the analogy he was attempting to make!
Maybe we should start a fund to bring Charles to Europe so he can see the situation first hand and not filtered thru the distorting lenses of some of his more fantasist lizards.

CarnackiUK, I think that ploome hineni is Bigel, I am not a member of LGF but have read many posts and sometimes skim the comments. I certainly noticed this Bigel twat and can't but notice ploomes comments.
Perhaps someone should invite Charles to see for himself, I was happy to see some VB members sending him emails, that is what it takes.
