TEACHER SENTENCED TO 15 DAYS IN A SUDANESE PRISON
The BBC has just announced that Gillian Gibbons the teacher under arrest in Sudan has been found GUILTY of insulting Islam
This is absolutely appalling, I have no Idea what the sentence will be but any sentence passed on this lady by this "court" will be devastating to her and if lashes are to be administered the sentence could be fatal.
I have just found out that her sentence is to be 15 days in a Sudanese Gaol (6.45PM)
The British Government must be really proud of itself at this moment in time after all the have succeeded in being of absolutely no use to Mrs Gibbons in her hour of need, how these people can claim to be in the service of the British people is beyond me.
Guilty of insulting Islam this is a joke, Islam is the most ridiculed "Religion" in the World, no doubt our fine upstanding members of the F.O will be fawning away in Sudan groveling to the Camel Jockey court in belated attempts to get Mrs Gibbons out of Gaol.
I, for one am not optimistic about Mrs Gibbons future irrespective of the sentence which may be passed, this whole sad affair will have damaged her for life.

Breaking News from ABCNEWS.com: CORRECTION: BRITISH SCHOOL TEACHER FOUND GUILTY OF INCITING RELIGIOUS HATRED, SENTENCED TO 15 DAYS IN PRISON BUT NO FLOGGING, THE AP REPORTS
===================================
They were caught between a rock and a hard place - they 'needed' to punish her but realized they were under a lot of scrutiny and criticism. Thus: no flogging but a minimum sentence. Ya know what? I actually think they lost this round!!

I read this on another site:

"Muslims consider pigs to be unclean. Hence, they are not allowed to build a mosque on pig-infested soil."
Is this true?
What if there is already a mosque and it is sprinkled with pigs' blood? Would it have to be demolished?

They need to market them, and others like them, by the thousand. George Orwell thought the most humane to deal with idiocy was to laugh at it - as often and as loud as possible.

Ali Sina says the same - ridicule is the best weapon.
Personally I prefer a FAL, but ... whatever takes your fancy.

This extract from the Independent on another thread shows the limit of British muslim tolerance.
"Yesterday Inayat Bunglawala, assistant general secretary of the Muslim Council of Britain, criticised the arrest of Ms Gibbons in Sudan and described it as a "quite horrible misunderstanding". But during a public debate in London two weeks ago, he refused my invitation to condemn unequivocally the practice of stoning women to death for adultery. It had happened during the lifetime of the Prophet, he said, "so you are asking me to condemn my Prophet".

caught the march reports (i wonder if they'll be in the streets of london this weekend?) on the Jon Gaunt show this morning, a couple of people suggested that we display teddy bears in our cars and porches to show our support.
am concerned that Gillian Gibbons may not make it out of that savage land alive. religion of peace, my a***!!!!!

As I opened this e-mailing, this same story was being reported on Fox News. Wonder if any of the MSM will be reporting this! This poor woman - she went to Sudan to teach their children and this is how she's treated! They are really barbarians!! Why don't we all copy a picture of the teddy bear with the name Mohammed underneath and send it to CAIR!!

Chants For Teddy Teacher To Be Shot
Updated:13:38, Friday November 30, 2007
Thousands of people are marching in Khartoum calling for British teacher Gillian Gibbons to be executed.
Ms Gibbons was jailed for 15 days
The 54-year-old has been jailed for insulting Islam in Sudan after allowing her pupils to name a teddy bear Mohammed but protesters say her 15-day sentence is too lenient.
The crowds streamed out of mosques after Friday sermons, as pick-up trucks with loudspeakers blared messages against Mrs Gibbons.
They gathered outside the presidential palace, where hundreds of riot police were deployed, but no attempt was made to disrupt the rally.
Carrying knives and sticks, the crowds chanted "shame on the UK" and "kill her by firing squad".
Local journalist Rob Crilly told Sky News he understood that a Sufi sect within the country had called for the demonstration and he spotted the sect's green flags among the crowds.
He saw protesters "passing their fingers across their throats" and newspapers with her picture on the front page being burned as they chanted "no one lives who insults the Prophet".
Mr Crilly said he was forced to get out as the situation was "turning nasty".

What's the bet on a 'this is not islam' dissumulation parade through the street's of Londonistan soon?
The appalling, 'negative' (i.e. truthful) images emerging from the sudan will surely have to be countered by the UK's taqiyyah spouters otherwise the scam of the 'religion of peace' will be exposed.
I think that our own beloved performing bearded primates will be kept indoors by their more wily elders...
