Apparently the Sudanese people have a short memories of the millions of dollars of aid and food sent to the country from Britain. --"The UK spent £76 million in total on humanitarian aid in Sudan, covering a range of interventions in food, water, health and shelter. We have committed £63 million for 2006, £49 million of which was provided through a common fund."--
Just another example of the insanity of Islam and its typical display of blood thirsty behaviours. Such vicious demonstrations have become the norm for muslims throughout the world. See a more examples here, here, here, here and here - far too many examples to list in total.
Of course CAIR and other such organizations would tell us- we are the problem and are "Islamophobic"
Now how can they rationalize that a inanimate teddy bear and an elementary school teacher pose a "threat" to Islam??

Thousands of Islamic fanatics wielding clubs and knives are marching through the streets of Khartoum demanding the execution of teddy bear teacher Gillian Gibbons.
As the mother-of-two started a 15-day prison term, protestors left mosques across the Sudanese capital to denounce the "lenient verdict" and call for the death penalty.
The mob descended on Matyrs Square, which is in front of the presidential palace, many arriving in pick-up trucks with loudspeakers blaring messages condemning Miss Gibbons.
Hundreds of riot police had been deployed but they made no attempt to disrupt the rally.
"Shame, shame on the U.K.," protesters chanted," as they called for Gibbons' execution, saying, "No tolerance: Execution," and "Kill her, kill her by firing squad."

The BBC actually described these protests as "good humoured" despite the fact that the protesters were carrying swords and clubs etc,
Only the BBC could do this, they actually believe their own didtortion of the facts

I was on the thread at Biased BBC where a chap called Martin posted that he watched the BBC 13:00 news and they said that it was small and good natured, and at the same time a reporter working for Sky reported from the scene that it was dangerous and scary with people making throat cutting signs at him and he had to leave.
It will be interesting to see how the BBC report this at 21:00.

Sometimes things do slip out on the BBC.
PM tonight (Friday) carried an interview in which an aid minister said the were concerned that aid was only being allowed to the south on condition they converted to islam. Forced conversion or starve!
Anyone else pick it up?

My humble advice to our government.
First, tell the Khartoum regime that they can do as they please, as it is their country.
THEN
1. Stop ALL aid to Sudan immediately
2. Divert the money to Sudanese Christians and Darfour, as humanitarian aid.
3. Include among medicine and food, a good amount of weapons for self-defence, as the greatest killer of Christians in south Sudan, and in Darfour, is the fanatic Muslim regime in Khartoum.
4. Veto any aid to Sudan from the EU.
5. Phone the White House to investigate the possibility of an airbase in South Sudan. This will offer air protection to Christians in the south as well as Darfour.
While all this is going on, I'm sure the Khartoum regime will be desperately trying to get in touch with Downing street and the White House. Program the answering machine for this caller ID to respond with, "The PM/President is busy at the moment. Your call is important to us. Please hold or try later", followed up with musac of the Battle Hymn of the Republic. Let us see how much sweat can be extracted from Sudan.

"We are no longer British territory. Britain has no right to discuss almost every week in their stupid parliament. Have they no sense? Has Britain ceased to have any rationality?"

British aid was about 40% of that, both through the EU, and about £40 million bilaterally. No-one can accuse us of neglecting the people. "

this attitude has prevailed for many years in other countries we give aid to, locally we are slagged of something cronic, I could never understand why we always seem to ignore it, the FO especially.
Aid should be very conditional, and one of the conditions should be by showing respect to the doner, us, but that is almost never the case.
Its something that i know for a fact and have wondered about for a very long time.

The same principle I advocated for Sudan should be applied to Mugabe.

Just nuke every Muslim country's large cities.
Nuke their airports and their seaports!
Round up every Muslim-dogpig in any of our countries and dump 'em back in their filthy, decrepit and debauched homelands.
Let them take care of themselves according to their own lights...
