NuLABOUR'S SOLUTION TO THE NHS CRISIS
First I want to wish all the UpPompeii readers and posters a prosperous 2008 New Year and hope that this year will mark the start of removing the great nation of Britain from the clutches of the British people loathing self perpetuating NuLabour politicians and EU multicultural elites-commonly known as EUocrats.
After a long holiday visit with family and friends, my "opinions" may be a bit rusty -my first post is a bit off topic but nevertheless here it goes....

No one should blame or deride the British people for protesting against the absolute invasion of their country by immigrants - both legal and illegal. I find too many commentators begin their posts with the caveat that they are not "racist" - 100% due to fear of being called such by the political correctness police who use the word as a club to verbally berate anyone that disagrees with the disastrous multicultural ideology that encourages rampant immigration into an island Nation. Whereas the below article deals with the Polish immigrants they pale in comparison to the muslim immigrants from Pakistan, etc. who for many decades have sucked up British benefits for themselves and their multiple wives and children at an egregious rate - this same greedy group has and continues to plot to kill us and in turn make the UK submit to Sharia Law.
Free speech and the ability to profess care and concern for one's homeland should NEVER be silenced by their very nature!!!
Remove the ridiculous "racism" nonsense from the mix and immediately begin steps to halt the burgeoning immigration problems and address the immense problems the so called "globalists" have created in Britain.
NO British person should feel as a second class citizen in his/her own country. NO British person should receive less than a newly immigrated "worker".
For all of our sake - stop the moaning - start to demand what is right for Britain and an immediate fix to the problems caused by an incompetent vote pandering government who appears for all intents and purposes to have sold out Great Britain for 30 pieces of EU silver.

POLISH immigrants have plunged the NHS into crisis—because health chiefs greatly underestimated the influx.

Hospitals and GPs are struggling to cope with hundreds of thousands of patients they did not budget for.
The Department of Health had expected to treat an extra 150,000 patients in the three years since eight new countries — including Poland— joined the EU in 2004
But hospitals and docs have dealt with that number EVERY YEAR since, stretching their budgets to breaking point.
MigrationWatch chairman Sir Andrew Green said: "The failure to anticipate the huge inflow of immigrants is having a massive effect on the NHS across the country.
"And British patients will struggle to get on the waiting lists because of this."
The problem has arisen because Health officials did not expect Polish workers to bring their families with them—and claim NHS treatment.
A senior source at the Department of Health said: "NHS budgets were based on official predictions of how many people would be coming in.
"We worked on the basis of 150,000 over three years. But we have had that many every year since 2004.
"The vast majority are Poles. There is nothing we can do about it because we can't stop them having treatment. They are entitled to it."
The government predicted no more than 13,000 extra immigrants would settle in Britain when the eight new countries joined the EU. But the number has rocketed to between 700,000 and a million. As many as two-thirds are from Poland. Arrivals from the former Eastern bloc now run at over 700 A DAY.
Meanwhile, frantic health chiefs fear patients are dying because of a desperate shortage of doctors in A&E wards. Inexperienced junior docs are being left in charge of casualty departments because there are too few senior consultants.
But many lack expertise to deal with life-and-death issues.
Health chiefs are taking urgent action to double the number of consultants. But the government is refusing to pay for them when they are trained.
Hospitals are also facing a critical shortage of blood and is desperate for new donors.
And to add to the picture of an NHS in crisis, its Choose And Book computer system is tens of millions over budget and years behind schedule.

Smokers, drinkers and the obese beware: keep fit or risk losing NHS care
Patients' rights are to be spelled out in a new NHS constitution, Gordon Brown signalled today.
It is likely to cover core treatments to which they are entitled, minimum waiting times and the right to be treated in clean hospitals.
But with the rights will come the responsibility to lead a healthy lifestyle. There were fears last night that this could lead to smokers and people who drink or eat too much being refused treatments. Already around one in ten hospitals refuse to carry out joint replacements for obese patients or orthopaedic surgery on smokers.
The contract, first floated by Tony Blair was proposed by Gordon Brown in a New Year message to Health Service staff today.
The Prime Minister believes a new focus on the prevention of ill health, rather than curing it, is essential for a modern NHS.
Downing Street sources said he was not taking a "draconian" approach that would undermine the principle of an NHS free at the point of access to every citizen. But the contract could include a "general requirement" for people to keep themselves healthy. Patients' groups fear doctors and NHS managers will see this as a go-ahead to withhold more treatment.
Katherine Murphy, of the Patients' Association, said last night: "No-one would disagree with the sentiment but we are concerned that imposing a duty on people to keep themselves healthy goes too far.
"Hospitals are under enormous financial pressures and constraints. There has to be a fear that if people don't toe the line, they are going to be denied the treatment they are entitled to. In parts of the country, it's already happening."
Hospitals are currently entitled to draw up their own guidelines on access to particular treatments.
Doctors say the risks of operating on obese patients are higher and the treatment may be less effective, with replacement joints wearing out more quickly, for example. Smokers also have a higher risk of complications after surgery.
Health trusts in North Staffordshire have the toughest restrictions. Patients must have a body mass index below 30 and have not smoked for three months to qualify for any routine operation.
Research last October for the ITV1 programme Tonight With Trevor McDonald found that thousands of patients needing hip replacements or non-emergency operations have been either barred from treatment or told to come back when they have "shown a commitment" to become healthier.
In November, the British Fertility Society said severely obese childless women should be refused IVF treatment.
In today's message to NHS staff, to mark the organisation's 60th anniversary year, Mr Brown asks them to rally round the idea of a "more personal and responsive" Health Service.
He calls for "an NHS which is able to offer the help and support that we all need to make healthy choices for ourselves and our families".
The Prime Minister - battling to restore his Government's reputation after a disastrous few months - will set out plans to expand the "prevention agenda" in a keynote speech later this month, It will include moves to tackle obesity and further reduce the number of smokers.
Opposition MPs are likely to accuse the Government of an unwarranted extension of the "nanny state". Public health minister Dawn Primarolo was criticised in November when she told the middle classes they were drinking too much.
She said middle-aged couples drinking at home were a greater health concern than young people spilling out of bars.
Tory leader David Cameron will set out his party's plans for the NHS tomorrow. Last year his party proposed an NHS constitution telling patients precisely what treatment they were entitled to for all conditions.
But they have also said one of their first acts on winning power would be to go further and introduce a new, independent NHS board to free the Health Service from political interference.
Shadow Health Secretary Andrew Lansley said last night: "Giving the NHS a new constitution is welcome but this Government has been promising this for over a year with far no progress. By contrast, the Conservatives have published legislation to give real freedoms to the NHS based on shared values.
"NHS staff will be disappointed that Gordon Brown's message does not provide relief from the bureaucracy, top-down control and targets that consume so much of the time and care they could be directing to improving patient care."

Let me get this straight. Asylum seekers, illegal aliens, foreign criminals who have committed serious crimes in the UK, will indeed get all the treatment that the NHS can provide + free cigs in jail (the Uman Rights brigade will ensure of this), but smokers or obese persons, citizens who have committed no crime, have paid their taxes and the NI tax, will not be eligible to NHS treatment.
Given the state of the NHS, and the likelihood of death being much higher if one goes to an NHS hospital, this policy maybe a devious and "cunning plan" to eliminate illegal and criminal aliens. Ya think?

A FANATICAL Pakistani cleric told The Sun yesterday of his chilling dream to turn the world Muslim – by force if necessary.
Qari Hifzur Rehamn, 60, spoke openly of imposing Islamic law’s stoning and beheading on Britain – as Pakistan was rocked by unrest over the assassination of Benazir Bhutto.
He warned: “We want Islamic law for all Pakistan and then the world.
“We would like to do this by preaching. But if not then we would use force.”
Rehamn, 60, spoke in the Pakistani town of Kahuta as the call to prayer echoed over the dusty streets.
He is Imam of the town’s fundamentalist religious school or madrassa, where classes for kids as young as nine include Jihad or Holy War and barbaric punishments.
His teachings are frightening enough. But his mosque lies in the shadow of the secret bunker where Pakistan produces nuclear weapons.
And when asked if it would be right to nuke British infidels, he laughed and answered: “Probably.”

Some 40% of Muslims who have British nationality, would like shari'a in Britain - ie these are who openly state this. The real figure is likely to be around 80% to 90%. We have situation here that is so serious that "catastrophic" does not adequately describe it.
Our previous encounters with totalitarian systems, has made us think that this war that Islam is waging on us, is equivalent to the previous ones. They are not. If the Nazis had won, we would still retain many of the features of Western culture and life styles. If the Communists had won, we would certainly be poorer, but still retain music, art, literature etc but proscribed to conform to the party line. Even these would get less stringent with time, and the system would fall, as we have seen it fall. Both totalitarian systems retain some degree of rationality.
With Islam, this is just not the case. It is so alien that most of the public do not realise the magnitude of change that will take place. This would not take place over a generation but several generations. Think Persia to what it was under Cyrus the Great and what it is now. Islam has continued, despite colonialism, defeat in war, mass massacre by Hulegu Khan, economic stagnation and even starvation. Once a country is under Islam, there is no way back – the Reconquista is the one exception, and that occurred because the rest of Europe backed it up.
Let us look at the nature of the threat. The existential threat hanging over us is not the terrorist one but the demographic one. All Muslim have to do now is to let time takes its course. How do we counter this threat, while all Muslims have to do is to pose to be liberal, democratic, tolerant etc, and wait till the numbers alone dictate the implementation of shari’a.

I agree that the huge Pakistani population is one of if not THE highest contributors to the destruction of the NHS. Muslims men & their FOUR wives procreate at the highest level (6-7 children by each wife) - this is after the vast majority marry their first cousins- the intermarraige is the precursor to a plethora of genetic diseases- from anon's link:

It's even worse than you say. The occasional cousin-marriage is probably sound enough: but they do it generation after generation after generation. That sort of practice doesn't just bring a risk of recessive-gene problems as does an occasional cousin-marriage, but makes it all but inevitable. And it's been going on for scores of generations.

Good point Sir HM - thus a NON first cousin, marrying into a muslim family, could find their child has either a genetic problem him/herself or is a carrier for said problem. Even if intermarraige was stopped today, it will take many generations before the genetic problems are mitigated.
My sister used to teach genetics and immunology - you should hear her go off on this topic!!

In one years time they will also the biggest unified voting block within the eu,outside influences have already delivered several MPs to various countries around europe,through telling the muslims which way to vote,and the scale of promotion and preferance that are being accorded to the infiltrators ,make thier dominance of the eu ,a matter of very little time, and by extension ,us,it seems that one of these crocodiles is going to eat us,wether one world order,islam or demographic genocide,and the people still picnik on the river banks,trying to keep the flies ayway from thier sandwitches.
