Disgusting treatment of a soldier
This disgusts me, before you read it go and check up on the story of a SEAL team in Afghanistan, they were spotted by a young boy herding goats, they decided not to silence him, he went away and came back with a large number of elite Al Queda, 3 of the 4 men team were killed plus 18 on a rescue helicopter that was shot down.
Even if it was an error, this man was in a war zone, even if war was declared or not and I am totally and utterly disgusted with this. The man should have been severely reprimanded and demoted, but 10 years in jail, he made a mistake due to sleep deprivation and perhaps compounded the error by planting an AK47 through fear of the PC brigade, but this like the Turkish / German issue I posted about earlier says everything about why we are in such a mess. We are at war, simple, but not simple enough for many of us, in war mistakes happen and people have to make choices under a lot of stress, one family did not get their apology and support for the loss caused in error, but really this is too damn much.
