This is bit of a rant at just about everything, I think I am turning into Victor Meldrew, "I don't believe it"
The press is full of all sorts of things that make my blood boil, first off is super bitch Naomi Campbell, this foul mouthed apology for a woman was swarmed over by the press and lots of column inches were dedicated to her vile abuse of airport staff, yet the amount of coverage NOT GIVEN to the British hostages in Iraq was highly noticeable.
The press may have been gagged by the Government on this matter under the banner of "we must not aggravate the situation" hence placing the captives at more risk, to quote Inspector Clueseau "Aah it's the old" not at risk ploy again""
The probability is more likely to be a blanket ban on publicity for these men because the Foreign Office have done sweet FA about it.
The F.O made a complete ass of itself over the teddy bear affair and demonstrated that they had no aptitude or stomach for dealing with that situation and they are now showing even more ineptitude, if that is possible, over the hostages in Iraq.
The next topic is one we all know about its the Mugabe situation, there has been much in the MSM about the retraction of his Knighthood,is that it!!, the withdrawal of a knighthood that is given to every head of state that visits this country as a matter of protocol, good grief even Jimmy Carter has got one.
This country is running scared of Mugabe, our Government does not have the backbone to do anything to terminate his "Presidency" or his existence.
Then we had the humiliating spectacle of a British Prime Minister kissing Arab butt, " please turn the Oil on" just how low can you go, this is not international politics or trade this is the OPEC countries screwing the west.
We Must not forget that Saudi, despite it's posturing over "Terrorism" funds most of the "terrorists" and supports their activities in our country, and our Government kisses their Butt - disgraceful.
Now we have Nelson Mandela being feted, yet again, this time because he is 90 yrs old, how this man became such an icon is beyond me, HE WAS A TERRORIST, he wanted to and did kill people and he did very little for South Africa, the vast majority of people there still live in slums, AIDS is rampant and anybody who goes to South Africa to get away from Mugabe's thugs runs the risk of being necklaced with a burning tyre.
The NICE LITTLE EARNER syndrome has surfaced in our police force, yup, here we have a Muslim cop complaining of being sidelined.( wait for the pay off folks, our tax money again)
Why is it that these people feel that they have the right to any job they feel like having, quite frankly the one group of people who should NOT be in our Police of security services are Muslims.
The News, have you noticed just how many Newsreaders are from ethnic minorities this is so much the case that you would be forgiven for thinking that white Anglo Saxon people were the minority group of people in this country, I have seen Chinese, African and Asian, there appears to be a desire to have a newsreader from every ethic minority fronting news programmes, this is proportional representation gone mad, I can see it now, the BBC advertising for a newsreader from Uzbekistan simply because a dozen people from that country have moved to the UK.
Our Ethnic minorities are complaining that they are being patronized by the likes of the BBC because of the OVER representation of ethnic programmes on TV, well that what the article says, in actual fact the man moaning about this is complaining that it is mainly White people that are in power within these organizations,

Last but not least ve haf Uberstormfurher Frau Harmann declaring that the British white male is now effectively second on the list if he wants a job,the First choice is a female, being male in this country is fast becoming a crime, is it any wonder that we have a situation in this country where our young men are running rampant and feral, all of the role of the male has been eroded and made insignificant, the male, to echo the mantra of the seventies feminist is "to blame for all the ills that have befallen the female"
The male role in the family has been rubbished, the male role in our Armed forces has been feminized, the male is not allowed to be assertive or show aggression in defense of his family or home, the male must not challenge anything female, especially in the workplace, many of the professions that were traditionally male have disappeared under the weight of fascist feminism.
This situation is akin to the "nice little earner syndrome" because it is the nice clean top jobs that women, according to Frau Harmann, are being discriminated against.
Equality yes, yes, yes, the male gender would love some and I am certain that most women who represent womens movements in the UK want the same, the feminist cause has been taken over by women who genuinely dislike the male.
RANT OVER.
As long as heads of state, leaders of nations, people with power, support ruthless dictators like Mugabwe, they will continue to raise their ugly heads and flourish. It was not so long ago that Condaleezza Rice, the Secretary of State of the USA, put her arm around the shoulders of another monster and buddy of Mugabwe, I am speaking of Ngueme Obiang of Equatorial Africa, and in a photo and very public display declared, "This is the good friend of the USA." This about a man who is notorious for his unimaginable torture of any opposition, a man reputed to eat the livers of his victims. And why such support? Because this tiny country in Africa is now oil rich. After discovery of oil this country is awash with it and money flows like a river. There seems little point in criticizing Mandella, South Africa, when the hypocritical administrations of the USA, one after the other not just this one, make friends with these people.

Gandalf in his "rant" as he calls it - I call it calling a spade a spade - makes the salient point when he refers to the prevailing attitude everywhere and particularly in the USA and UK of "we must not aggravate the situation" and gagging of the press. To me it is no different from what Mugabwe is doing, if you don't like the opposition gag it or remove it or in his case, kill it. It comes under the banner of Political Correctness. The world has gone made with this mealy-mouthed, blanket approach to everything that seemingly matter aggravate some matter or other. This two-letter four-letter-word has gone too far. Not many know its origin, nor do they know that its current interpretation is incorrect. But who cares, it serves its purpose. This phrase originated in the time of Lenin. If people did not follow the party line, what was dictated, they were arrested and hauled off to be re-educated, indoctrinated with the "political correctness" of the day. Now it embraces everything. The media is awash with reports of people having second thoughts about what they said and now apologizing profusely. If you said it, you meant it. But if it is not politically correct, you'd better not say it. We have become a nation of cowards in the US and the UK in the name of not aggravating something or other. The lowest common denominator is what we live by now. We are mere shadows of ourselves - except for the few courageous ones who continue to call it as it is and in places such Pompeii. Voltaire must be turning over in his grave.
As for Naomi Campbell and her ilk ... she is the classic "model" for the statement, "Beauty's only skin deep." Inside this is one ugly woman. Enough said.

Why does anyone give a toss about Mugabe and what happens in Zim? African politics is tribal and in the end will always boil down to a winner-take-all version of democracy ie. win the "election" and then set about eradicating all your political opponents and cancel all further elections if at all possible - given a few years in power the MDC & supporters would do exactly the same as Mugabe and his thugs - they are the SAME people essentially from the same cultural background, the Western media is currently awash with floods of crocodile tears shed over little more than, well, Africans being Africans

I will tell you why I bother about Zimbabwe, its because it had the possibility of being an example to all of Africa, in fact still has, Mugabe has not destroyed all of its past colonial structure, its judicary has not been totally corrupted. I really thing that if any leader of a country deserves a bullet in the brain from the CIA or others, its that fascist Mugabe.
Gandalf, yes Madela was a terrorist or member of a terrorist group, but he renounced that and wanted to live in peace with those people who had jailed him, he publicly forgave them. And do you know what I honor him for that.

And what about the 50 percent of the population who support Mugabe, who go along with the violence and actively participate in it, the huge numbers of young men who are perpared to pick up a machete at the drop of a hat and start hacking off the limbs of men, women and children, pouring petrol over them and burning them alive. Are they Mugabe's poor victims too? The half of the population who actively and gleefully do all the killing when it comes down to it? Because Mugabe isn't walking round with a machete. It's Africans doing it, ordinary, common or garden young African men.
This notion that Zim can be an "example" to other Africans is as ludicrous as the notion that Iraq can be a "shining example of democarcy" to the Arab world. Africans do not give a damn about the welfare or otherwise of other Africans, this is a silly dream put about by comfy liberals, eager to ignore the fact that when people live in grinding poverty all their lives, they will only care about short term personal gain and nothing else. And if that means picking up a big panga and murdering a few of the opposition, then so be it.
To try and pin all this on Mugabe is a mistake. Blame Africans, African culture, African tribal mentality by all means. If Mugabe wasn't there, someone else would be doing the same job, and Africans would be killing each other as they always have done. Zimbabwe, SA, Rwanda, Kenya, it's the same story every time. The BBC/liberal media constant refrain of "if only Mugabe wasn't there causing all this!!!" is designed to take the focus off the real villain of the piece : backward, violent African culture itself.

As we see in so many societies, dumb down the people, dehumanize them, turn them against each other and you turn them into a population that is fit only to do the whim of their masters or new masters. This is happening in the West now and our ending position is Africa.
I think that the only way you could bring democracy to the Muslim world is destroy Islam. It is not possible otherwise, that is not the statement of a liberal.
I will blame Mugabe because after the end of Rhodesia a properly functioning nation could have been possible, but he put in place the policies that ended up with what you see now. He is as you say a product of the wrong type of African culture, there were many black people in Rhodesia who were happy with the state.
I also think that South Africa is going the same way as Zimbabwe, sadly the stupid ignorant violent thugs are going to take over.

Race does produce differences, but its the environment, ideology and the culture that define what they are and how they think. I think your comment is a load of bollocks because yes there are other nasty dictators like Mugabe waiting to take power, but the truth is that this can and is happening in many parts of the world and we are not immune from it either...

Mandela's "wonderland" of post-apartheid South Africa has devolved into such a hellhole that even the USA embassy staff are moving their families out of detached homes into bunker-style "secure" housing complexes. (Bet you won't hear anyone from the UK gov't OR USA gov't ask St. Mandela about that -it would spoil the myth.)

Johannesburg - Buy-to-let investors who have signed long-term leases to house United States Embassy staff are in for a rude shock.
Crime concerns have prompted the embassy to terminate residential leases in stand-alone houses in Pretoria, Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town. The US plans to move embassy families to multi-unit security complexes.
Letters of termination have already been sent to some landlords and rental agents have advised them that US Embassy staff and their families will vacate stand-alone houses within 90 days.
"The US Embassy has taken a decision to move from stand-alone residences to compound residential units due to increased security concerns," reads a letter sent to one rental agent in Pretoria.
That particular lease is being terminated two years earlier than originally agreed in the contract. The embassy typically signs residential leases for a period of nine years.
The US Embassy's new housing policy will no doubt be a blow to investors who have poured money into building and renovating luxury, stand-alone houses to meet the specific requirements of embassy staff. Some will no doubt battle to replace tenants.
Moreover, it's unlikely that new tenants will be able to match the US dollar-based rentals paid by the embassy.
David Grier, deputy press attaché at the US Embassy in Pretoria, confirms that a heightened security profile was one reason that leases are being reassessed.
He says the demographics of embassy staff have also shifted from large families to singles and married couples with no children who require smaller houses. Says Grier: "Several recent lease terminations have been due to the fact that the embassy no longer requires as many large houses."
Grier says the US Embassy terminates approximately 20 leases every year. "And this year is no different. However, it's always done in accordance with all the requirements of the lease signed by the owner of the property and the US Embassy."
Grier dismisses talk that the embassy will build its own security villages to house staff. He says the US Embassy already owns some properties in SA but will continue to rent the bulk of its residential accommodation needs.

Harriet Harpie's blatant anti-(white)male NuDiscrimination laws are also anti married women (and those unmarrieds who live with a man) who are at home caring for children(or in feminist lingo "working within the home") & their families. Her policies will keep such traditional families, with white working males, from receiving much needed income thru job change and advancement.
One of the main tenets of feminism was to demand value for those women who chose or needed to work within the home. (children, caretaker, etc) Recently, (Prime Minister's Questions) Goon Broon went on a merry ramble extolling the many merits of caretakers - does he and his gal pal think that NO caretakers rely upon the income of a working white MALE?
Surely the feminist that Comrade Harpie claims to be does not want to penalise women living with -white male men- and their families - does she?
I'd really like to hear & see her squirm trying to answer the above questions.
