For everything turn, turn, turn - there is a season

I can feel it coming in the air tonight, for times they are a changing, the grass roots are beginning to get stronger there is a definite change in the wind, why do I say all of this, I say this because more and more there are signs, little signs that the light at the end of the tunnel is getting closer.

You will no doubt remember tha case of the Liverpool hotelier who was accused of a hate crime against a Muslim female guest, well the trail has been held and against all expectations they have been found innocent, the Judge and jury actually looked past the politically correct agenda that is very common in British law.

Christian hoteliers accused of insulting a Muslim guest for wearing the hijab and berating her for her beliefs were dramatically cleared this afternoon.

Benjamin and Sharon Vogelenzang denied using threatening, abusive or insulting words which were religiously aggravated against white British Muslim convert Ericka Tazi, 60.

District Judge Richard Clancy, who heard the case in the absence of a jury, told the couple that religion and politics was the 'tinderbox which set the whole thing alight and it would appear because of strongly entrenched positions that is what has happened here'.

Sadly their business has suffered and they now have to rebuild so to speak but I am sure they will take that in their stride.

When this saga began some nine months ago their main provider of business was a local Hospital, upon hearing of this incident the hospital immediately stopped all referrals to the hotel, this was brought about purely on the basis of one woman's unfounded allegations

Common sense has prevailed in this case, sadly many other similar cases go the way of the politically correct and find for the accuser especially if they belong to a "minority"

Another encouraging sign is this -

The University of London has cancelled the appearance of a speaker from an Islamic group that opposes democracy and integration into British society.

Hizb ut-Tahrir, which the government has tried to ban, was due to appear at Queen Mary college in east London to debate Sharia law in the modern world.

But the group was told it could not take part after students campaigned about its "blatantly aggressive" views.

The University college in question is Queen Mary college, this cancellation is a notable one as Queen Mary college was one that was identified as having a "Muslim problem" and had previously held meetings and lectures fronted by  "extremist" Muslims

The mindset  on this campus at least appears to have changed as this quote demonstrates:-

"This can be frightening and intimidating for the student body."

He added: "On university campuses it is simply incomprehensible how such blatantly aggressive organisations can be invited to speak."

Universities have been targeted by Muslims and there have been many instances where so called radical speakers have been invited, I now get a sense that the other student bodies on campus are not going to roll over to the political correctness that suppressed their views over that past years.

There is more positive news

A DELEGATION from the Clitheroe Road Residents' Association in Brierfield has presented a 1,000-name petition to Pendle MP Gordon Prentice, calling for Brierfield Mills to remain in employment use.

They are resisting any moves to turn the former medical fabrics plant into a school.

Pendle is not a big place and to get a thousand signatures is no mean feat, this shows that people are now much more willing and open to challenge the imposition of Islamic schools and buildings in their neighbourhood , it looks like the plan for the school will fail - power to the people

Rallies are taking place all over the UK, anti - islam rallies, anti Sharia rallies, on the 13 of this month SIOE are holding a rally in London, the EDL recently rallied in Nottingham and now  we learn that SDL is to hold a rally

on the same day as a Middle East film festival is held in the city.

The right-wing Scottish Defence League (SDL) is preparing to hold its rally on 20 February and is reportedly already circulating an e-mail advertising the date.

Many moons ago I said that any demonstrations must be targeted on specific Islamic events such as Eid in the square, it is good to see that targeting is happening, this shows that thought has gone into the process of mounting a demonstration

On an international note

Sarkosy the diminutive French President has come out in support of the Swiss ban on Minarets by saying :-

Mr Sarkozy returned to his theme and said that the result of the Swiss referendum showed how important it was for France to define its identity.

"Instead of condemning the Swiss out of hand, we should try to understand what they meant to express and what so many people in Europe feel, including people in France," he wrote. "Nothing would be worse than denial."

I am no fan of Sarkosy bu credit where credit is due

All of the above tells me that we are nearing a point in Europe and the UK where it will be clear that Islam and all it entails is not welcome, Europe will no longer be a fertile ground in which this stone age cult can grow, this will not happen tomorrow but all the signs are now showing that such a time will happen sooner than later.

The referendum in tiny litte Switzerland, has released a tidal wave of anger at Muslims and Islam. People are fed up, as the tolerance of post WWII Europe, has been taken advantage off. Howver, this is passing fad, Europe is not what it is, by being a historic pansy or patsy.

In Italy for instance, the Italian league is going further - not a referendum on minarets but a complete ban on mosques.

Now a list of Muslim demands that may have got the Swiss riled

A List of Mohammedan Demands on the Swiss

    http://sheikyermami.com/2009/12/09/a-list-of-mohammedan-demands-on-the-swiss/comment-page-1/#comment-220750

. A remarkable study on “The position of the Muslim population in the canton of Zurich” [see the notes for a link to the pdf] presents a litany of demands. This contains about 200 pages and deals with key areas of the life of Muslims in Switzerland: social benefits and the penal system. We would like very much to sum up all the demands here, but there are simply too many to mention them all. Therefore, we restricted ourselves to a few of the demands:

    1. Burial in the country of origin

Of all Muslims — who are after all supposedly completely non-religious according to our media — 95% want to be buried in the country of origin. The cost amounts to approximately €27,000 per deceased. The transportation of the body alone would cost almost €7,000. These costs are not paid by social services; however, the travel costs of a limited number of people to attend the funeral is taken into account. The transport is paid by a cultural association. That cultural association is paid with tax money and thus cannot be counted among the social costs.

    2. More prayer rooms

The demand for [building permits for] minarets is, according to the study, of secondary importance even to Muslims. They demand more prayer rooms, which in Islam are also meeting places, to maintain group coherence. The ever increasingly frequent protests around those prayer rooms (noise, random parking, crime) are regarded by Muslims as intolerance.

    3. Their own hospital

Medical care by Christians is seen as inappropriate by Muslims. Muslims therefore demand a their own hospital as well as their own homes for the elderly [pensioned].

    4. Muslims in public administration

There must be more Muslims appointed to public administration, especially with the police. Moreover, there also needs to be an ombudsman to whom they can turn to when they feel they are religiously disadvantaged, especially when they are hindered in the prescribed prayers during working hours. Scarf and chador may in no case be prohibited.

    5. Workplaces without male contact..

Oh yes , I can see that happening, while the company waits for gender discrimination law suits.

A British Muslim has been convicted of conspiring to murder civilians in a "deadly terrorist attack".

Adam Khatib, 23, a factory worker from Walthamstow, east London, was part of a terror cell run from Pakistan.
